it had started out small,
and then over time,
with several doses of sunshine
and rounds of cartwheels
and dips into the ocean,
it grew and grew.
it grew so much, that one day,
it was ready to share some with somebody else.
and somebody else came along.
this somebody else loved My Little Toy Heart,
but not quite enough.
so My Little Toy Heart gave some more away.
and some more
until it was empty and hollow
and had nothing left to give.
but that somebody would just throw it all away,
toss it behind his back
and walk on.
so My Little Toy Heart was left there,
for days it just sat there.
sometimes the sun would fill up My Little Toy Heart,
but after a while, it would deflate
and be empty again.
sometimes the rain would fill My Little Toy Heart,
but then it would drain,
and empty again it was.
finally, one day, after a long time in the emptiness,
You came across My Little Toy Heart.
You picked it up, dusted it off,
stuffed it with love, and stitched it closed.
but best of all, you made it shine again.
you made it shine like it had never before shined.
and it still glows.
You fixed My Little Toy Heart.
