I Am Hope

By Kaia Miller, TIWP Student

I am the only thing stranger than fear.
I get you up when the sunrises
and soothe you to sleep at night.
In a world full of clouds of hate and division,
I swoop in with gushing relief.
After a day of crucial judgment and betrayal
I may seem invisible and nonexistent
but I’m like a star.
I may at times be covered by scornful clouds
but I’m always there and will forever be there.
When you’re at your lowest, you will see my twinkling aura
and you’ll be filled with a sense of passion,
enough to hoard off the scornful clouds.
I am hope.
