Letter to My Middle School Self

By Amelia Chen, TIWP Student

Here’s what I’m telling you:

Go for it. Find out what you want, what you truly want, and go for it. Know what you need and take it. Trust that you are the captain of your soul. Believe in your intuition. Hold on to your knowledge. And take a leap of faith. Take a chance. And if you land on both feet, stand firm and know you will have an impact. If you fall, it’s okay. Rise again and again because life is not without its dips and ditches. Know that it may seem that you are alone in your troubles, but many have been in your place and stood in your shoes and known uncertainty. And it’s okay to not know what comes next. Sometimes you just have to go on.
