Hard to Hope

By Grace Kosla, TIWP Student

You feel as if the world hates you
It wants to make your life miserable too,
You stare at the clock wishing it would go faster
The only thing that’s on your mind is a huge disaster,
You see no light at the end of the tunnel
And everything becomes a struggle,
Then finally something goes right and you smile
Something you haven’t done in a while,
You get the feeling of hope in your mind
And you then have a sudden urge to be kind,
At last you have found the light at the tunnel
And that dreadful feeling you had is now subtle,
For now you are happy with who you are
And wanting to be someone else seems so bizarre.
